How are amounts formatted?

Single signed Amount column. Money out is negative, money in is positive. Two decimal places. No thousands separators inside the value.

What separator do you use?

Comma. Fields containing commas, quotes, or newlines are quoted per RFC 4180.

Will this break Excel when I open it?

No. We emit UTF-8 with no BOM. Modern Excel and Google Sheets handle this correctly. If you use very old Excel and see garbled non-ASCII characters, try our Excel (.xlsx) format instead.
