My M-Pesa PDF asks for a password. What is it?

Usually your national ID number — the one registered with Safaricom. The password is used once to unlock the PDF in server memory over HTTPS, then discarded; it is never stored or logged. We cannot recover a forgotten password — only Safaricom can.

What ends up in the Excel file?

Two sheets. Transactions: one row per M-Pesa entry with Date, Description, Category, Direction, Amount, and Currency — charges included as their own rows, the way the statement reports them. Summary: totals by category plus grand totals.

Does it handle the full statement, not just one month?

Yes — request whatever period you need and the whole PDF is parsed, including multi-page statements. Amounts are read as Kenyan Shillings automatically when the statement says so.

Is my statement uploaded?

Parsing runs in your browser. The one exception: a password-protected PDF is sent over HTTPS to be unlocked in server memory, then discarded — nothing is written to disk, nothing is kept.
